AI disclosure is only one part of responsible advertising. Teams also need controls for rights, likeness, claims, bias, product accuracy, sensitive categories, and the context in which a generated asset appears.
Review risk, not just production method

The IAB's transparency framework takes a materiality-based approach: the key question is whether AI use could mislead a reasonable consumer about authenticity, identity, or a material fact. Routine production assistance does not carry the same risk as a synthetic spokesperson or fabricated event.
Create approval gates
- Confirm rights for every reference image, voice, face, product, and music source.
- Check claims against approved evidence and destination-page language.
- Inspect people, anatomy, products, packaging, and cultural representation.
- Decide whether disclosure is required for the intended market and platform.
- Record the approved version and the person responsible for release.
Make safer generation easier
Brand rules, blocked topics, approved claims, reference assets, and reviewer roles should live inside the workflow. Safety becomes more reliable when the correct path is also the fastest path.
